- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Medtronic's quality systems, policies, and procedures.
- Lead and manage quality engineering activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality and process improvements throughout the product life cycle.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation plans to ensure product safety and efficacy.
- Utilize statistical techniques and tools to analyze data and identify trends, providing recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.
- Lead and participate in audits and inspections, both internal and external, to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Mentor and train junior quality engineers to ensure a high level of technical expertise within the team.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and suppliers to ensure quality standards are met throughout the supply chain.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and developments in quality engineering and incorporate them into the company's quality systems and processes.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization, including senior management, to drive a culture of quality excellence.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of quality systems and processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of quality-related documentation and reports.
- Adhere to all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements, including FDA, ISO, and other relevant standards.
- Represent Medtronic in a professional manner at industry conferences and events.
- Embody Medtronic's mission and values, promoting a patient-centric and quality-focused culture within the organization.
Extensive Experience In Quality Assurance: The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Quality Assurance, Preferably In The Medical Device Industry. They Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Quality Management Systems And Regulations, Such As Fda 21 Cfr Part 820 And Iso 13485.
Strong Leadership Skills: The Principal Quality Engineer Will Be Leading A Team Of Quality Engineers And Technicians. They Should Have Proven Experience In Managing And Developing A Team, As Well As Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Industry Standards: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Industry Standards And Best Practices For Medical Device Quality, Such As Risk Management, Process Validation, And Design Control. They Should Also Be Familiar With Emerging Trends And Technologies In The Medical Device Industry.
Problem-Solving And Analytical Skills: As The Leader Of The Quality Engineering Team, The Principal Quality Engineer Should Be Able To Identify And Solve Complex Problems Effectively. They Should Have Strong Analytical Skills And Be Able To Make Data-Driven Decisions To Improve Quality Processes And Systems.
Project Management Experience: Medtronic Operates On A Global Scale, And The Principal Quality Engineer Will Be Responsible For Managing Quality Projects Across Different Locations. The Candidate Should Have Experience In Project Management, Including Planning, Execution, And Monitoring Of Project Timelines And Budgets. They Should Also Be Comfortable Working With Cross-Functional Teams And Managing Stakeholders' Expectations.
