- Conduct thorough and accurate inspections of medical devices and components to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
- Identify and report any deviations or non-conformities in product quality to the appropriate departments for investigation and resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain and update quality inspection records and documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing inspections.
- Conduct routine audits of production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and make recommendations for improvements.
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and guidelines related to quality control and ensure compliance within the organization.
- Participate in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and processes.
- Train and mentor new quality inspectors on procedures, regulations, and best practices.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to report any quality issues and provide updates on inspection results.
Experience In Quality Control: A Quality Inspector At Medtronic Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Quality Control Role, Preferably In A Medical Device Manufacturing Environment. This Experience Should Include Knowledge Of Quality Standards, Inspection Techniques, And Documentation Requirements.
Attention To Detail: As A Quality Inspector, Attention To Detail Is Crucial To Ensure That All Products Meet The Required Quality Standards. This Includes The Ability To Identify And Document Any Discrepancies Or Defects In The Manufacturing Process Or Final Product.
Knowledge Of Quality Standards: Medtronic Follows Strict Quality Standards And Regulations Set By Organizations Such As Fda, Iso, And Mdd. A Quality Inspector Should Have A Strong Understanding Of These Standards And Regulations To Ensure Compliance And Adherence To Quality Processes.
Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: Quality Issues Can Arise At Any Point In The Manufacturing Process, And It Is The Responsibility Of A Quality Inspector To Identify And Troubleshoot These Issues. This Requires Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills To Investigate Root Causes And Implement Corrective Actions.
Communication And Teamwork: Quality Inspectors At Medtronic Work Closely With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Manufacturing, Engineering, And Quality Assurance.
