  1. Ensure compliance with federal income tax laws and regulations by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations and implementing necessary changes.
  2. Prepare and review federal income tax returns, including gathering and analyzing financial data, reconciling tax accounts, and completing necessary schedules and forms.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information and support for tax filings.
  4. Conduct tax research and analysis to identify potential tax savings opportunities and minimize tax liabilities.
  5. Assist with tax planning and forecasting to ensure tax strategies align with overall business objectives.
  6. Review and maintain accurate tax records and documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  7. Keep up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, and communicate potential impacts to relevant stakeholders.
  8. Provide support and guidance to other team members, including training and mentoring junior staff.
  9. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including tax authorities and auditors.
  10. Support the company's mission and values by promoting a culture of integrity, ethical behavior, and compliance.
  11. Identify and implement process improvements to streamline tax processes and increase efficiency.
  12. Stay current with Medtronic's products, services, and business operations to ensure accurate tax treatment.
  13. Assist with special projects and ad-hoc requests related to federal income tax matters.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive tax information and exercise discretion in handling confidential data.
  15. Actively participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve tax knowledge and skills.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Federal Income Tax Laws And Regulations: The Senior Tax Accountant Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Federal Tax Laws And Regulations, As Well As A Strong Working Knowledge Of Tax Codes And Compliance Requirements.

  • Cpa Or Advanced Degree In Accounting Or Taxation: A Cpa Certification Or Advanced Degree In Accounting Or Taxation Is Typically Required For A Senior Tax Accountant Role. This Demonstrates A High Level Of Technical Expertise And Dedication To The Field.
