Associate - Sanitation

The Associate - Sanitation will be responsible for helping to ensure a safe and sanitary environment throughout the center for patients, visitors, and staff. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, have a keen eye for detail, and be dedicated to providing excellent customer service.The ideal candidate should have a minimum of one year of experience in janitorial, custodial, or sanitation work. A high school diploma and familiarity with general cleaning and sanitation procedures is required. Responsibilities:

1. Clean and sanitize all areas of the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, including patient rooms, common areas, and staff offices.
2. Utilize and maintain sanitation and janitorial equipment according to safety protocols.
3. Follow all infection prevention procedures and protocols.
4. Dispose of hazardous materials properly and in accordance with regulations.
5. Stock janitorial closets with necessary supplies.
6. Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and materials.
7. Respond to requests for cleaning services in a timely manner.
8. Collaborate with other team members to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
9. Follow safety guidelines and procedures while performing job duties.
10. Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.
