Clinical Nurse

As a Clinical Nurse at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, you will be part of a team of dedicated professionals that is devoted to providing excellent patient care to those affected by cancer. We are looking for an experienced and compassionate individual who is focused on providing the highest level of service to our patients.The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in a nursing role, preferably in oncology or a related field. They will also have a valid registered nurse license, as well as specialized training or certification in oncology or a related specialty. A successful candidate should be someone with a passion for patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. We are looking for a nurse who is organized, detail-oriented, and conscientious in their practice.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide high quality nursing care to cancer patients in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures.
2. Utilize evidence-based practice to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
3. Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans and coordinate patient care.
5. Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
6. Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders.
7. Monitor patient progress and respond promptly to changes in condition.
8. Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment.
9. Educate patients and families about their diagnosis and treatment.
10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
