Job Description

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse in the Diagnostic Imaging Department to provide superior patient care and support. As a Clinical Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans, ensuring that all patient needs are met. The ideal candidate will have strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or an associate’s degree in Nursing with three years of experience• Current and valid professional RN license in the state of New York• At least two years of recent clinical nursing experience in a Diagnostic Imaging setting • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)• Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) • Ability to accurately read and interpret medical orders • Familiarity with medical terminology and abbreviations• Knowledge of standard nursing principles and practices • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Responsibilities:

  1. Assess and evaluate patient care plans to ensure patient needs are met.
  2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by medical orders.
  3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide superior patient care.
  4. Monitor and record patient progress to ensure patient safety and effectiveness of treatments.
  5. Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to accurately document patient care.
  6. Maintain current and valid professional RN license in the state of New York.
  7. Adhere to standard nursing principles and practices.
  8. Provide patient education and support.
  9. Maintain a professional, compassionate, and patient-focused demeanor.
  10. Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve patient care issues.
  11. Monitor patient vital signs and administer appropriate interventions.
  12. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  13. Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
  14. Complete necessary paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
  15. Possess knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations.
  16. Possess certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  17. Demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills
