1. Develop and oversee educational programs for residents and fellows in accordance with institutional and accrediting body standards.
2. Collaborate with faculty to ensure high-quality and innovative educational experiences for trainees.
3. Maintain and monitor compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
4. Identify and implement strategies for continuous improvement and advancement of the GME program.
5. Recruit, train, and mentor program coordinators and other GME staff.
6. Manage budget and resources to support GME initiatives.
7. Serve as a liaison between GME program and other departments within the institution.
8. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders to enhance GME opportunities for trainees.
9. Evaluate and assess program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
10. Participate in national and international medical education conferences and initiatives.
11. Foster a culture of diversity, inclusivity, and equity within the GME program.
12. Ensure resident and fellow wellness and provide support and resources as needed.
13. Collaborate with institutional leadership to develop and implement strategic goals and objectives for GME.
14. Stay informed on current trends and advancements in medical education and incorporate them into the GME program.
15. Represent the GME program in institutional meetings and committees.
16. Serve as a role model for professionalism and ethical conduct in medical education.
