Job Description

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is looking for a compassionate, collaborative, and highly motivated professional to join our team as an EKG Technician. The EKG Technician will be responsible for performing electrocardiogram (EKG) tests, interpreting the results, and providing feedback to a physician. This position requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail as the results of these tests are critical for patient diagnosis and care. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should have a combination of medical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude. Required Qualifications: • High School diploma or equivalent• Certification from an accredited program in Cardiovascular Technology• Previous experience in a medical setting• Familiarity with medical terminology • Ability to exercise independent judgement and work autonomously• Excellent computer skills and knowledge of medical software

Responsibilities: • Perform EKG tests accurately and efficiently • Interpret EKG results and provide feedback to a physician • Maintain records of EKG tests and patient information • Follow established protocols and procedures for EKG testing • Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout testing procedures • Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families • Communicate effectively with other medical professionals • Maintain a clean and organized work environment • Adhere to established safety guidelines and regulations • Update knowledge of EKG equipment and procedures regularly • Ensure accurate billing for EKG tests
