Job Description

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is looking for a motivated and experienced Laboratory Technologist to join our team in the Cell Marker Laboratory. The successful candidate will be a critical member of our research team and will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory experiments and tests to support our work.The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as biology, chemistry, or biochemistry, and at least 1 year of experience working in a research laboratory setting. Knowledge of laboratory techniques such as cell culture, flow cytometry, and immunohistochemistry is essential. Experience with Next Generation Sequencing and basic molecular biology techniques is a plus.We are looking for an individual who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of laboratory experiments and tests to support research
  • Operate cell culture, flow cytometry, and immunohistochemistry equipment
  • Use Next Generation Sequencing and basic molecular biology techniques
  • Analyze, interpret, and report data
  • Document and maintain accurate records of laboratory procedures
  • Collaborate with other members of the research team
  • Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment
  • Follow established laboratory protocols and procedures
  • Assist with research projects as needed
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Train and mentor junior laboratory staff
