Laboratory Technologist - Clinical Chemistry

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technologist - Clinical Chemistry to join our team in New York, NY. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high complexity laboratory testing in the Clinical Chemistry laboratory, including manual and automated methodologies. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting, quality control, and evaluation of results. We are looking for a candidate who has a passion for laboratory science and possesses excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field and a minimum of three years of experience in a laboratory setting. You should have demonstrated competency in Clinical Chemistry and be certified/eligible for certification in Clinical Chemistry by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP). You should also be well-versed in the use of laboratory information systems, computer applications, and laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform high complexity laboratory testing in the Clinical Chemistry laboratory, including manual and automated methodologies • Troubleshoot, perform quality control, and evaluate results • Maintain accurate and complete documentation of testing results • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety regulations • Utilize laboratory information systems, computer applications, and laboratory equipment • Communicate effectively with laboratory staff and other healthcare providers • Assist with training and mentoring of laboratory personnel • Adhere to laboratory policies and procedures • Provide timely and accurate interpretation of laboratory results
