Job Description

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking an accomplished and experienced Medical Nuclear Physicist to join our team. In this role, you will apply your expertise in nuclear medicine and physics to help provide the highest quality of care to our patients. You will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, scientists, and engineers to advance the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.The ideal candidate for this position will have a doctorate degree in medical physics and a minimum of two years of experience in nuclear medicine or related field. You must demonstrate a strong understanding of radiation physics and radiation safety principles, as well as an ability to work collaboratively with a variety of healthcare professionals. You must be highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families are also essential. Responsibilities: -Analyze and interpret data related to nuclear medicine and radiation physics -Develop and implement radiation safety protocols -Perform quality assurance checks on nuclear medical equipment -Provide technical guidance and direction to staff on radiation safety -Collaborate with physicians, scientists, and engineers to advance the diagnosis and treatment of cancer -Maintain accurate records and documentation -Educate patients and their families on radiation safety -Provide clear and concise communication to staff and patients -Maintain a high level of ethical behavior -Adhere to all applicable regulations and laws related to nuclear medicine and radiation safety
