Physical Therapist (Inpatient)

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking a highly qualified Physical Therapist (Inpatient) to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. In this role, you will use your expertise in physical therapy to help cancer patients improve their quality of life through physical rehabilitation. We are looking for an experienced professional who has a passion for helping people and the skills to make a positive impact on the lives of our patients.To be successful in this role, you must have a Master’s degree in physical therapy, be a licensed physical therapist in the state of New York, and have at least two years of experience in physical therapy. A strong knowledge of cancer care and the impact of cancer treatments on physical rehabilitation is preferred. In addition, you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities:

1. Provide physical therapy services to cancer patients to improve their quality of life.
2. Utilize knowledge and experience in physical therapy to design and implement customized rehabilitation plans.
3. Monitor patients’ progress and modify treatment plans accordingly.
4. Educate patients and families on physical therapy treatments and how to safely carry out exercises and activities at home.
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated care.
6. Maintain patient records and report progress to referring physicians.
7. Maintain current license in the state of New York.
8. Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
