Job Description

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking an experienced and compassionate Radiation Therapist to join our team in providing patients with the highest quality care. The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for delivering radiation therapy treatments to patients in accordance with established standards and practices. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and organized individual who is passionate about providing exceptional patient care.To be considered for this role, you must possess a graduate degree from an accredited radiation therapy program, and be a licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Radiation Therapist in the state of New York. In addition, you must have a minimum of one year of work experience as a Radiation Therapist, preferably in a hospital setting. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact positively with patients and their families. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a commitment to providing the highest quality of care to our patients.

Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver radiation therapy treatments to patients in accordance with established standards and practices.
  2. Ensure the safety of patients receiving radiation therapy treatments.
  3. Communicate and interact professionally with patients and their families.
  4. Maintain patient records and documentation in accordance with established guidelines.
  5. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly.
  6. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
  7. Ensure equipment is maintained and calibrated properly.
  8. Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities.
  9. Stay up to date with the latest developments in radiation therapy treatments.
  10. Provide patient education and support regarding radiation therapy treatments.
