- Develop and implement strategies for policy advocacy that align with the company's mission and values.
- Monitor and analyze policy trends and developments in the healthcare industry, and provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry associations, and patient advocacy groups.
- Represent the company's interests in policy discussions and negotiations, and advocate for policies that support the company's goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute integrated policy and advocacy campaigns.
- Develop and deliver compelling communications materials, including policy briefs, position papers, and presentations, to educate and influence policymakers and other stakeholders.
- Manage and track policy priorities and initiatives, and provide regular updates to senior leadership.
- Stay informed about regulatory and legislative changes and their potential impact on the company, and proactively identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on healthcare policy issues, both internally and externally.
- Mentor and manage a team of policy professionals, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.
- Represent the company at conferences, meetings, and other events to promote the company's policy positions and initiatives.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the company's policy advocacy strategies and processes to ensure effectiveness and impact.
Advanced Degree In Public Policy Or Related Field - A Strong Educational Background In Policy And Advocacy Is Essential For This Role, Demonstrating A Deep Understanding Of The Political Landscape And The Ability To Analyze Complex Policy Issues.
Extensive Experience In Government Relations - The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Government Relations Or Public Policy, Preferably Within The Healthcare Industry. This Experience Should Include Developing And Implementing Successful Advocacy Strategies At The Local, State, And Federal Levels.
Strong Communication And Influencing Skills - As An Associate Director Of Policy Advocacy, The Ability To Effectively Communicate And Influence Key Stakeholders, Both Internally And Externally, Is Crucial. This Includes Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, As Well As The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Policymakers And Industry Influencers.
