- Utilize scientific expertise to optimize and scale-up biopharmaceutical production processes.

- Drive innovation and seek out opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
- Communicate project updates, results, and recommendations to senior management and other relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, protocols, and results.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized laboratory workspace.
Advanced Degree In A Relevant Scientific Field: A Senior Scientist At Merck & Co. Must Possess At Least A Master's Degree In A Field Such As Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Or Chemical Engineering. A Phd Is Preferred.
Extensive Experience In Bioprocess Development: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 8-10 Years Of Experience In Process Development For Biologic Drug Substances, Including Expertise In Upstream And Downstream Processing Techniques.
Strong Understanding Of Regulatory Requirements: Merck & Co. Operates In A Highly Regulated Industry, And A Senior Scientist Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Fda And Other Global Regulatory Guidelines For Biologic Drug Substance Production.
Leadership And Project Management Skills: As A Senior Scientist, The Individual Will Be Responsible For Leading And Managing A Team Of Scientists And Technicians. Therefore, Strong Leadership And Project Management Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.
