
Cancer Center Licensed Practical Nurse

- Provide direct patient care: The LPN will be responsible for administering medications, performing various treatments, and assisting with procedures as directed by the medical team.
- Support patients and families: The LPN will serve as a source of support and comfort for patients and their families, addressing their concerns and providing education about their condition and treatment options.
- Monitor patient progress: The LPN will monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment, and report any changes or concerns to the medical team.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team: The LPN will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
- Maintain accurate records: The LPN will be responsible for accurately documenting patient information, including medical history, treatments, and medications, in accordance with established protocols.
- Administer medications: The LPN will safely and accurately administer medications, including chemotherapy drugs, as prescribed by the medical team.
- Educate patients and families: The LPN will provide patient and family education on cancer treatment, side effects, and self-care measures to promote optimal health and wellbeing.
- Assist in procedures: The LPN will assist with various procedures, including biopsies, lumbar punctures, and bone marrow aspirations, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for the patient.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment: The LPN will maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly stocked and stored, and follow infection control protocols to prevent the spread of illness.
- Continuously improve skills and knowledge: The LPN will participate in ongoing education and training opportunities to enhance their clinical skills and knowledge in the field of oncology nursing.
Valid Lpn License: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid And Active Lpn License In The State Of Operation.
Oncology Certification: The Candidate Should Have A Certification In Oncology Nursing, Demonstrating Advanced Knowledge And Skills In Cancer Care.
Experience In Oncology: Previous Experience Working In An Oncology Setting, Preferably In A Cancer Center, Is Required For This Position.
Strong Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Crucial In Providing Comprehensive Care To Cancer Patients. The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills.
Compassionate And Empathetic: Cancer Patients Require Emotional Support Along With Medical Care. The Ideal Candidate Should Be Empathetic, Compassionate, And Able To Provide Emotional Support To Patients And Their Families.
