
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
At Mercy, we are looking for an experienced and compassionate Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have the necessary qualifications to provide excellent patient care, comfort, and support in emergency medical situations. The EMT will be required to have a high school diploma or equivalent, valid EMT certification, and a valid driver’s license. We are looking for someone who is committed to providing the highest quality of care for our patients. Responsibilities:
- Utilize emergency medical techniques to assess, treat, and transport patients in a safe and timely manner.
- Provide emotional and physical support to patients and their families during emergency medical situations.
- Monitor vital signs of patients and report any changes to the medical team.
- Administer medications, injections, or other treatments as prescribed by medical staff.
- Document patient care and other activities in accordance with department protocols.
- Operate and maintain ambulance equipment and vehicles in a safe and responsible manner.
- Respond to emergency calls and provide necessary medical assistance.
- Educate and inform patients about their health, treatments, and other relevant information.
- Maintain professional relationships with other healthcare providers and team members.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations.
