
Health Information Technician
Welcome to Mercy! We are looking for a Health Information Technician to join our team of dedicated and compassionate healthcare professionals. In this role, you will play a critical part in the organization and maintenance of patient records. We are looking for someone with a passion for healthcare and a strong attention to detail.The successful candidate must have strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to remain flexible in the face of changing priorities, and an understanding of medical terminology. Responsibilities:
- Maintain and organize patient records in accordance with established procedures and regulations.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient records.
- Enter patient information into the health information system as needed.
- Monitor and update patient records as needed.
- Monitor and respond to requests for release of health information.
- Assist with the development and implementation of health information management policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Assist with audits of patient records as needed.
- Resolve discrepancies in patient records.
- Provide support to healthcare professionals in the use of health information systems.
