Job Description

  1. Lead and facilitate lean transformation initiatives throughout the organization to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement lean methodologies.
  3. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of lean principles and tools, and educate and train staff on their application.
  4. Analyze data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and track progress towards lean transformation goals.
  5. Actively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to gain buy-in and support for lean initiatives.
  6. Serve as a subject matter expert on lean principles and methodologies, providing guidance and support to project teams and leaders.
  7. Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of lean initiatives, making adjustments and improvements as needed.
  8. Communicate progress and results of lean initiatives to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  9. Keep abreast of industry best practices and innovations in lean methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
  10. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and lean thinking throughout the organization.
  11. Lead and facilitate training and workshops to build lean capabilities and knowledge among staff.
  12. Act as a change agent, promoting and championing lean principles and initiatives across the organization.
  13. Collaborate with external consultants and experts, as needed, to support lean transformation efforts.
  14. Uphold Mercy’s mission and values and promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
  15. Other duties as assigned by leadership.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Lean Principles And Methodologies, Such As Value Stream Mapping, Waste Reduction, And Continuous Improvement.

  • Experience Leading And Facilitating Lean Transformation Initiatives, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Influence Change At All Levels Of The Organization.

  • Proficiency In Data Analysis And Problem-Solving, With The Ability To Identify Opportunities For Improvement And Develop Data-Driven Solutions.

  • Project Management Skills, Including The Ability To Develop Project Plans, Track Progress, And Ensure Timely Implementation Of Lean Initiatives.
