Medical Assistant

We are looking for a talented, compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Mercy. Our Medical Assistants provide a variety of patient care services and administrative tasks to ensure that our patients have the best experience possible. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in the medical field, excellent organizational skills, and strong communication skills. Responsibilities:

1. Assist physicians and other healthcare personnel with patient care activities, such as taking vital signs and medical histories.
2. Prepare examination and treatment rooms and ensure that they are stocked with necessary supplies.
3. Administer medications and injections as prescribed by physicians.
4. Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with other departments for patient care.
5. Provide patient education and instruction on preventative care, medications, and other treatments.
6. Update and maintain medical records and ensure that all documentation is accurate and up to date.
7. Assist with clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and billing.
8. Ensure that all medical equipment is properly maintained and in working order.
9. Provide an exceptional level of customer service and build positive relationships with patients.
10. Follow all safety protocols and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
