Monitor Technician

1. Monitor and interpret electrocardiograms (EKGs) to accurately assess and report any changes or abnormalities in the cardiac rhythm of patients.
2. Maintain constant surveillance of cardiac monitors and promptly alert medical staff of any concerning changes in patients' cardiac rhythms.
3. Document and record all EKG readings accurately and timely in patient's medical records.
4. Collaborate with medical staff and other healthcare team members to ensure prompt and appropriate response to any cardiac emergencies.
5. Perform routine equipment checks and troubleshoot any technical issues with cardiac monitors.
6. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures regarding patient care, confidentiality, and safety.
7. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and support regarding cardiac monitoring procedures and equipment.
8. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure efficient and accurate readings of EKGs.
9. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on advancements and changes in cardiac monitoring techniques and equipment.
10. Provide compassionate and exceptional patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients' physical and emotional needs.
11. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by working effectively with other healthcare team members and maintaining open communication.
12. Comply with all regulatory and legal requirements related to patient care and documentation.
