Mercy is currently seeking a PRN Patient Ambassador to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide support and comfort to our patients and their families during their hospital stay. - Provide compassionate support to patients and their families during their hospital stay.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff to ensure a positive and comfortable experience.
- Foster a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for patients and their families.
- Be knowledgeable about hospital policies and procedures to assist patients with any questions or concerns.
- Maintain a positive attitude and remain calm in stressful situations.
- Collaborate with other hospital staff to ensure patients' needs are met.
- Proactively identify and address any issues or concerns that patients may have.
- Take initiative to go above and beyond in providing exceptional care and support to patients.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
- Attend training and education sessions to stay updated on the latest patient care techniques and protocols.
- Demonstrate empathy and understanding towards patients and their families.
- Maintain a neat and organized work area to ensure a comfortable environment for patients.
- Act as a liaison between patients, families, and medical staff to ensure effective communication and understanding.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during difficult times.
- Act as a positive representative of the hospital and embody its values and mission.
Excellent Communication Skills: A Patient Ambassador At Mercy Must Possess Strong Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Families, And Staff Members In A Professional And Compassionate Manner.
Customer Service Experience: Prior Experience In A Customer Service Role Is Highly Preferred For This Position, As Patient Ambassadors Are Responsible For Providing Exceptional Service To Patients And Their Families.
Medical Knowledge: A Basic Understanding Of Medical Terminology, Procedures, And Protocols Is Necessary For A Patient Ambassador At Mercy To Effectively Assist Patients And Communicate With Healthcare Providers.
Empathetic And Caring Nature: As A Patient Ambassador, It Is Essential To Have A Compassionate And Empathetic Nature To Understand And Address The Needs Of Patients And Their Families During Their Time At The Hospital.
Flexibility And Availability: This Prn (As-Needed) Position Requires Candidates To Have A Flexible Schedule And Be Available To Work On Short Notice, Including Evenings, Weekends, And Holidays, To Ensure Adequate Coverage For Patient Needs.
