
Patient Care Technician (PCT)
Mercy is looking for a highly organized and compassionate Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a wide range of clinical and administrative tasks to ensure that patient care is delivered in a safe and timely manner. This is a great opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families.The ideal candidate for this role will possess a strong clinical background, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and an ability to work independently with minimal supervision. In addition, they must have a current certification as a nursing assistant and prior experience in a clinical setting. Candidates should also be highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of clinical and administrative tasks to ensure that patient care is delivered in a safe and timely manner.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients and their families.
- Monitor and assess patient health and assist with the implementation of medical treatments.
- Maintain patient records and prepare reports as required.
- Ensure that all equipment and supplies are properly maintained and stocked.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding health maintenance, treatment, and medication.
- Assist with the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Participate in team meetings and provide feedback and recommendations.
- Update patient records in an accurate and timely manner.
