
Phlebotomist
At Mercy, we are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. We are in search of a passionate and focused individual who is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to our patients. The successful candidate must have a strong commitment to exceptional customer service, a positive attitude, and excellent communication skills.The ideal candidate must possess a current state certification or license as a Phlebotomist and have a minimum of one year of phlebotomy experience. They must also be flexible and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful applicant must also possess a strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. Responsibilities:
- Collect blood specimens from patients in accordance with established guidelines and safety protocols.
- Ensure accuracy in specimen collection and labeling by following standard operating procedures.
- Maintain patient confidentiality as required by HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on the phlebotomy procedure and address any questions or concerns.
- Ensure that all equipment is in proper working order and store supplies securely.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all specimens collected and patient information.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to phlebotomy.
- Assist in other areas of the lab as necessary, such as labeling specimens and preparing samples for analysis.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients by creating a welcoming and comfortable experience.
- Participate in continuing education programs and seminars to stay up to date on best practices.
Current Cpr Certification
