Mercy is looking for an experienced, compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. Our ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience as a PA and will provide a high level of healthcare services, collaborating closely with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals. The PA will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing the care of patients.This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is highly motivated and has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The PA will also be responsible for providing education to patients and their families on health promotion, disease prevention, and treatment options.The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies, be board certified, and have a current licensure in the state of practice. An understanding of the principles of evidence-based medicine and a commitment to providing patient-centered care are essential. Our ideal candidate will be a team player, with the ability to work independently and with a positive attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses by obtaining medical histories, performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, and prescribing medications
- Develop treatment plans for patients and monitor their progress
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers in the delivery of patient care
- Educate patients and their families on health promotion, disease prevention, and treatment options
- Maintain patient records, including medical histories, reports, and examination results
- Monitor and record patients' progress and provide follow-up care
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments and referrals
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and practice standards
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients and visitors
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Or Related Field
Current Physician Assistant Certification
