  1. Provide exceptional care to patients with respiratory conditions, prioritizing compassion and empathy in all interactions.
  2. Utilize innovative medical practices and stay up-to-date on advancements in the field of Pulmonology.
  3. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
  4. Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients' respiratory health, including conducting diagnostic tests and interpreting results.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with patients, providing education and support to help them manage their conditions.
  6. Stay informed on current research and trends in Pulmonology, continuously expanding knowledge and expertise.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting all treatments, medications, and interventions.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  9. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  10. Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings, continuing education opportunities, and conferences related to Pulmonology.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  12. Mentor and train medical residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals in the field of Pulmonology.
  13. Provide on-call coverage and respond to emergencies as needed.
  14. Uphold the values and mission of Mercy in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree From An Accredited University: A Physician-Pulmonologist At Mercy Must Possess A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From A Recognized Medical School.

  • Board Certification In Pulmonology: The Candidate Must Be Board-Certified By The American Board Of Internal Medicine In Pulmonary Disease Or Have Equivalent Certification From An Accredited Organization.

  • Residency And Fellowship Training: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Completed A Residency In Internal Medicine And A Fellowship In Pulmonary And Critical Care Medicine From An Accredited Program.

  • Active State Medical License: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid And Unrestricted Medical License In The State Where They Will Be Practicing, Or Be Eligible For Immediate Licensure.

  • Strong Clinical And Diagnostic Skills: The Candidate Should Have A Demonstrated Ability To Effectively Diagnose And Treat A Wide Range Of Pulmonary Conditions, As Well As Proficiency In Various Diagnostic Procedures And Technologies.
