Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) Is Required For Most Registered Nurse Positions At Mercy, Including Those In Pediatrics. This Degree Provides A Comprehensive Education In Nursing Principles, As Well As Clinical Experience In Various Healthcare Settings.
Current Rn License: All Applicants Must Hold A Current And Valid Registered Nurse License In The State Where They Will Be Working. This Ensures That The Nurse Has Met The Necessary Requirements And Is Qualified To Practice Nursing In That Particular State.
Pediatric Nursing Experience: Mercy Is Seeking Candidates With Previous Experience In Pediatric Nursing. This Could Include Working In A Pediatric Unit, Pediatric Intensive Care, Or A Pediatric Clinic. This Experience Will Demonstrate The Candidate's Knowledge And Skills In Providing Specialized Care To Children.
Cpr Certification: A Current Certification In Basic Life Support (Bls) And Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Pals) Is Required For This Role. These Certifications Ensure That The Nurse Has The Necessary Skills To Respond To Emergency Situations And Provide Life-Saving Interventions.
Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: As A Registered Nurse In Pediatrics, The Candidate Will Be Working Closely With A Team Of Healthcare Professionals, As Well As Communicating With Parents And Children. Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Essential For Providing High-Quality And Coordinated Care.
