  1. Collaborate with healthcare providers to identify and address areas for improvement in clinical documentation.
  2. Analyze medical records and coding data to identify opportunities for accurate and complete documentation.
  3. Educate and train healthcare providers on coding and documentation best practices.
  4. Stay current on coding and reimbursement guidelines and communicate changes to healthcare providers.
  5. Mentor and guide team members in clinical documentation improvement strategies.
  6. Develop and implement processes to improve clinical documentation accuracy and completeness.
  7. Work with cross-functional teams to optimize clinical documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  8. Provide regular reports and analysis on clinical documentation improvement metrics.
  9. Utilize technology and tools to support clinical documentation improvement efforts.
  10. Collaborate with coding and billing departments to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide recommendations for improvement.
  12. Serve as a subject matter expert for clinical documentation improvement within the organization.
  13. Continuously assess and improve processes for clinical documentation improvement.
  14. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all documentation.
  15. Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and other stakeholders to address documentation issues and provide feedback.
  16. Act as a resource for healthcare providers in understanding coding and documentation guidelines.
  17. Adhere to all healthcare privacy and confidentiality regulations.
  18. Participate in professional development activities to stay current on industry developments and best practices.
  19. Support a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the clinical documentation team.
  20. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment within the clinical documentation team.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (Ccds) Or Certified Coding Specialist (Ccs) Certification

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Healthcare-Related Field

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Clinical Documentation Improvement

  • Expertise In Icd-10 Coding And Drg Assignment

  • Strong Analytical And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Identify And Resolve Documentation Discrepancies And Coding Errors
