Surgical Technologist

We are looking for an experienced Surgical Technologist to join our team at Mercy. As a Surgical Technologist, you will be responsible for assisting in surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room is sterile, preparing patients for surgery, and providing other necessary support to the surgical team. Responsibilities:

1. Assist surgeons during surgical procedures in an operating room setting.
2. Ensure that the operating room is sterile and all necessary supplies are present.
3. Prepare patients for surgery, including taking vital signs and administering medications.
4. Perform pre- and post-operative patient care, such as dressing changes and wound closure.
5. Monitor patient condition during the procedure and document any changes.
6. Ensure that surgical instruments are properly sterilized and organized for the procedure.
7. Assist other medical staff in the operating room, such as nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgeons.
8. Clean and maintain the operating room and equipment.
9. Comply with all safety protocols and regulations.
10. Stay current with new developments in surgical technology and procedures.
