
Ultrasound Technologist
We at Mercy are looking for an experienced and compassionate Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our Imaging team, you will be responsible for providing ultrasound services to patients in a caring and considerate manner, while maintaining the highest quality standards.To be successful in this role, you must be a compassionate and organized individual with a strong sense of responsibility. You should have excellent interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to patient safety. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of an Associate degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography and be certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in Abdomen and OB/GYN. Knowledge and experience in various Ultrasound procedures is also preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Provide ultrasound services to patients in a caring and considerate manner.
- Maintain the highest quality standards.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
- Maintain a strong commitment to patient safety.
- Follow established protocols and procedures for Ultrasound procedures.
- Monitor and record patient information accurately and promptly.
- Ensure all equipment used is properly calibrated and functioning properly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff and physicians.
- Comply with all safety regulations and laws.
Minimum Of Year Experience In An Ultrasound Setting
Ardms (American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography) Certification
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Anatomy
Ability To Read And Interpret Medical Images
Proficient In The Use Of Ultrasound Equipment
Ability To Communicate And Interact Professionally With Patients And Staff
Ability To Work In A Busy And Fast-Paced Environment
