Job Description

Meritus Health is seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to join our Employee Health Team as a Department Assistant. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about providing excellent service and support to our employees.The ideal candidate will possess an exceptional attention to detail, have excellent communication skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This individual will be able to multitask and prioritize tasks in order to stay organized and meet deadlines.The Department Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Employee Health Department. This individual will assist with all aspects of the department’s operations, including scheduling, preparing documents, and maintaining records. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with a dynamic team and has a commitment to excellence.Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED required• Minimum of two years of administrative/secretarial experience required• Excellent organizational and communication skills• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Proficient with MS Office and database software• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Responsibilities of the Department Assistant:

  1. Provide administrative support to the Employee Health Department.
  2. Schedule meetings, appointments, and other events as needed.
  3. Prepare documents such as memos, letters, spreadsheets, and reports.
  4. Maintain records of employee health data and other related documents.
  5. Assist in the onboarding of new employees.
  6. Answer incoming calls and respond to inquiries.
  7. Assist with the development and implementation of new policies and procedures.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.
