Welcome to Meritus Health! We are currently seeking a highly driven and detail-oriented Oncology Reimbursement Specialist to join our team. As an Oncology Reimbursement Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our patients receive the proper reimbursement for their oncology treatments. Your expertise and knowledge in insurance policies and reimbursement procedures will be essential in providing financial support to our patients and their families during these challenging times.   1. Review patient insurance policies to determine coverage for oncology treatments.
  2. Communicate with insurance companies to obtain prior authorizations and confirm coverage.
  3. Follow up with insurance companies to resolve any billing or reimbursement issues.
  4. Educate and assist patients and their families in understanding their insurance coverage and benefits.
  5. Work closely with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely billing and reimbursement.
  6. Keep updated on changes in insurance policies and reimbursement procedures.
  7. Maintain accurate and organized records of patient insurance information and reimbursement processes.
  8. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop financial assistance plans for patients in need.
  9. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families regarding billing and reimbursement inquiries.
  10. Maintain confidentiality of patient and insurance information at all times.
  11. Participate in training and development programs to improve knowledge and skills related to reimbursement processes.
  12. Identify and report any patterns or issues related to insurance denials or delays in reimbursement.
  13. Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and policies related to healthcare and insurance.
  14. Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment within the healthcare team.
  15. Continuously evaluate and suggest improvements to reimbursement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Healthcare Reimbursement, Preferably In Oncology.

  • Knowledge Of Medicare And Medicaid Regulations, As Well As Commercial Insurance Reimbursement Processes.

  • Strong Understanding Of Medical Billing And Coding, Including Cpt, Icd-10, And Hcpcs Codes.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Work With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And Insurance Companies.
