Job Description

Meritus Health is looking for an experienced and certified Radiology Technologist to join our dynamic team. If you have a passion for providing quality patient care and have the required qualifications, we invite you to apply. The ideal candidate should have an Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology, be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and be licensed with the State of Maryland. Our Radiology Technologist should have demonstrated experience in managing patient care services, including radiography, mammography, computer tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and other imaging techniques. You should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, peers, and physicians. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide quality patient care utilizing radiologic technology
  2. Operate radiologic imaging equipment to obtain diagnostic images
  3. Utilize various imaging techniques including radiography, mammography, computer tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and other imaging techniques
  4. Follow established policies and procedures to ensure patient safety
  5. Ensure the accuracy of all imaging studies
  6. Maintain patient records and practice confidentiality
  7. Communicate with patients, peers, and physicians in a professional and courteous manner
  8. Monitor and maintain radiologic equipment
  9. Administer radiation safety protocols
  10. Educate patients about imaging procedures
  11. Assist in emergency room and operating room procedures as needed
  12. Participate in continuing education activities to stay current with new developments in radiology technology
