Associate Scientist

The Associate Scientist will work to develop rapid, point-of-care molecular diagnostic assay products. This position is responsible for developing and validating assay chemistry, integrating chemistry with proprietary instrumentation, coordinating product development between R&D and Engineering, and assist in design transfer to manufacturing in an ISO 13485 environment. Develop and optimize lateral flow strip chemistry that is required for detection of post-amplification materials and result interpretation Integrate assay chemistry with engineering system components (i.e. cassette, base station, sample prep). Work with and communicate effectively in an inter-department effort with engineering personnel to implement and test new design features and give the biological perspective on proposed engineering designs and impact to chemistry. Write and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), manufacturing instructions, quality control test methods, and experience with document control procedures.
