Purchasing Supervisor (Direct/Indirect Materials)

The Supervisor will also have forecasting oversight of managing inventory for Direct/Indirect Materials within a manufacturing environment. The Supervisor will manage suppliers on contract negotiation, NDAs, pricing, purchase orders, and on resolving issues. Analyze forecast and actual consumption history for trends and maintain optimal safety stock and inventory levels to ensure product availability stock for critical non-inventory items. Maintain and promote strong relationships with suppliers, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Distribution, and any other internal customers. Actively participate in efforts to drive down material costs. Represent Supply Chain in Material Review and Change Control boards as well as various other inter-departmental meetings and projects. Coordinates and follows up with production, warehouse, and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate procurement, scheduling, and movement of materials and services.
