Job Description

MetLife is seeking a highly experienced professional to join our team as Director & Actuary - US Pension Risk Transfer Pricing. This position is critical to the success of the Pension Risk Transfer business and requires a candidate with a deep understanding of the insurance markets, actuarial principles, and the ability to lead a team. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in the insurance/pension industry with deep expertise in actuarial pricing and product development. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or related field, and be a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join a dynamic and growing team. You will be responsible for developing pricing and product solutions for pension risk transfer business and leading a team of actuaries to achieve profitable growth. The successful candidate will have a passion for working in a fast-paced environment and must demonstrate strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop pricing and product solutions for pension risk transfer business.
  2. Lead, mentor, and coach a team of actuaries to promote successful growth.
  3. Analyze insurance markets and apply actuarial principles to pricing and product development.
  4. Monitor and report on key performance metrics related to pricing, product management, and team performance.
  5. Monitor and review actuarial pricing models to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  6. Maintain a detailed understanding of insurance and pension industry trends and dynamics.
  7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  8. Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on the performance of the business.
  9. Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  10. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
