As a leader in our Long Term Disability Claims department, you will play a crucial role in managing and resolving complex disability claims for our customers. We are looking for an experienced individual with a strong background in disability claims management, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service. If you have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of disability insurance policies, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we would love to have you on our team.

  1. Manage and oversee a team of disability claims specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective claims handling.
  2. Utilize expert knowledge of disability insurance policies to accurately assess and manage complex claims.
  3. Communicate with clients, providers, and internal stakeholders to gather necessary information, assess claims, and provide updates on claim status.
  4. Analyze and investigate all relevant information to determine eligibility for benefits and make timely claim decisions.
  5. Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of claims.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, providers, and external partners to effectively manage disability claims.
  7. Train and mentor team members on best practices for claims management and customer service.
  8. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations throughout the claims process.
  9. Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  10. Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve claims management processes and procedures.
  11. Serve as a point of contact for escalated or complex claims, providing guidance and support to team members as needed.
  12. Proactively identify potential issues or challenges in the claims process and take appropriate action to mitigate them.
  13. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all claims activities, including documentation of decisions and communications.
  14. Provide exceptional customer service, demonstrating empathy and understanding while advocating for the best interests of our clients.
  15. Represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times, both internally and externally.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Insurance, Finance, Or Business Administration

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In The Insurance Industry, Preferably In Long Term Disability Claims

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws Related To Disability Benefits And Insurance Regulations

  • Demonstrated Leadership Skills And Experience In Managing A Team Of Claims Specialists

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Interact With Clients, Colleagues, And External Stakeholders.
