  1. Develop and implement MetLife's regulatory strategy to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  2. Monitor and analyze changes in government regulations and policies, and provide recommendations to senior management.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies and officials to effectively advocate for MetLife's interests.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and consistency in regulatory initiatives.
  5. Conduct research and analysis to identify potential regulatory risks and opportunities for MetLife.
  6. Prepare and submit regulatory filings and reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  7. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the financial services industry and its regulatory environment.
  8. Communicate with internal stakeholders to provide updates on regulatory developments and their potential impact on the company.
  9. Proactively identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance regulatory compliance.
  10. Provide guidance and support to colleagues on regulatory matters and best practices.
  11. Represent MetLife at industry events and conferences, and participate in relevant industry associations.
  12. Maintain knowledge and understanding of MetLife's business operations and products to effectively navigate regulatory processes.
  13. Collaborate with legal counsel to ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
  14. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and emerging regulatory issues.
  15. Identify and mitigate potential regulatory risks through proactive planning and communication.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Government Regulations: A Qualified Candidate For This Position Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Government Regulations, Particularly In The Financial Services Industry. This Includes Knowledge Of Laws, Policies, And Procedures Related To Insurance, Investments, And Other Financial Products.

  • Experience In Government Relations: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5-7 Years Of Experience Working In Government Relations, Preferably In The Insurance Or Financial Services Industry. This Includes Experience In Lobbying, Advocacy, And Building Relationships With Government Officials And Agencies.

  • Strong Communication And Negotiation Skills: As A Manager Of Government Relations Regulatory Policy, The Individual Will Be Responsible For Communicating With Government Officials, Industry Stakeholders, And Internal Teams At Metlife. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills Are Essential For This Role.

  • Analytical And Strategic Thinking: The Ability To Analyze Complex Regulatory Issues, Identify Potential Risks And Opportunities, And Develop Strategic Plans To Address Them Is Crucial For Success In This Role.
