Job Description

MetLife is looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Workplace Accommodation Consultant to join our team and help us create a workplace culture that is respectful of all of its employees. In this role, you will be responsible for providing consultation to employees with disabilities and helping them find the accommodations that best meet their needs.To succeed in this role, you must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with all stakeholders. You should also have a thorough understanding of relevant laws and regulations governing workplace accommodations. Previous experience with disability management and knowledge of the principles of universal design are also essential for success in this role. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide consultation to employees with disabilities to identify the accommodations that best meet their needs.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including employees, managers, and other relevant parties.
  3. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing workplace accommodations.
  4. Remain up-to-date on disability management principles and universal design.
  5. Assist in creating a workplace environment that is welcoming and inclusive to all.
  6. Educate stakeholders on relevant policies and procedures related to workplace accommodations.
  7. Monitor compliance with workplace accommodation policies and procedures.
  8. Work with management to develop and implement strategies to ensure equitable access to accommodations.
  9. Respond to inquiries and provide guidance on workplace accommodations.
  10. Track and report outcomes of workplace accommodation initiatives.
