Job Description

Own the quality strategy for key features and functionality in the Minecraft franchise. Make decisions and tradeoffs around day-to-day team execution and reactionary work, balancing against investments in efficiency and the future. Monitor, summarize, and effectively communicate the quality of the product, state of quality efforts, and team strategy to leadership through conversations, reports, and formal presentations. Anticipate team needs 3-6 months into the future and coordinate team planning accordingly. Coordinate priorities across manual testing, data, and software engineering teams to increase the immediate impact of shared deliverables. Coach and mentor junior team members. Provide feedback to grow the team’s strategic capabilities. Be a trusted member of the product triage team. Help build and foster a Quality mindset and culture on our team, and with our partners.

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience shipping software products, preferably games.

  • You have been responsible for the quality of large or complex feature over a full ship cycle.

  • Experienced using test strategies that incorporate multiple methodologies, including data and automation usage.
