Chemical Biology Specialist

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Chemical Biology Specialist to join our dynamic scientific team. As the Chemical Biology Specialist, you will utilize your expertise in the areas of medicinal chemistry, organic synthesis, and chemical biology to drive the development of therapeutic strategies and compounds for cancer therapy. You will serve as a key member of the laboratory team, working with scientists to identify and validate therapeutic targets, design novel small molecules, and guide the development of new drug candidates.This position requires a confident individual who is passionate about translating scientific discoveries into potential therapeutics. The ideal candidate must possess a PhD degree in Chemistry or a related field and have a strong background in medicinal chemistry, organic synthesis, and chemical biology. Responsibilities:

1. Utilize expertise in the areas of medicinal chemistry, organic synthesis, and chemical biology to develop therapeutic strategies and compounds for cancer therapy.

6. Develop and present project plans and progress to the team.
7. Keep abreast of current developments in the field of medicinal chemistry, organic synthesis, and chemical biology.
8. Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure that safety protocols are followed.
