Cyber Security Analyst

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a highly motivated Cyber Security Analyst to join our world-class team. As a vital member of the Information Security team, you will play a key role in safeguarding our data and systems from malicious attack. You will have the opportunity to work with a passionate and dedicated group of individuals who are focused on providing the highest quality of security services to our patients, staff, and affiliates.Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field along with 5+ years of experience in a technical cyber security role. You should have a deep understanding of cyber security principles, practices, and technologies, including encryption, authentication, and identity management. Other desirable qualifications include experience with cyber security tools and technologies such as firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection/prevention systems, vulnerability scanners, incident management systems, and SIEM solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also essential for this role. Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and analyze network security events to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
2. Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices.
3. Configure, deploy, and manage security tools such as firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection/prevention systems, vulnerability scanners, incident management systems, and SIEM solutions.
4. Research, recommend, and implement new security technologies.
5. Create and maintain detailed documentation of security systems.
6. Create detailed reports on security events and risk assessments.
7. Collaborate with other teams to ensure security solutions are properly integrated and supported.
8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security threats and technologies.
9. Respond to security incidents and provide technical guidance to other teams.
10. Assist in the development and execution of security awareness training programs.
