Job Description

The Imaging Archival and Retrieval Specialist position at Moffitt Cancer Center is an integral part of our team, responsible for preserving and protecting our imaging-based records. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently. The successful candidate should have a passion for preserving and protecting patient records and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least two years of experience in a medical record or imaging-related field. Knowledge of imaging-based record management systems is preferred. We are looking for an individual who is organized and professional, with a customer-first attitude. The Imaging Archival and Retrieval Specialist must possess strong problem-solving skills, be able to work under pressure, and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines. Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and preserve imaging-based records in a secure and organized manner.
  2. Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  3. Process and update patient records as needed.
  4. Utilize imaging-based record management systems.
  5. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to record management.
  6. Follow established protocols for record retrieval and archiving.
  7. Keep up to date with new and emerging technologies related to imaging-based record management.
  8. Assist with the development and implementation of new record management systems.
  9. Monitor and maintain the security and privacy of patient records.
  10. Handle other tasks related to imaging and record management as needed.
