
Infection Preventionist

This individual will serve as a resource to the hospital staff on infection control practices and procedures. This individual must have experience in epidemiology and a strong understanding of infection prevention principles. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. They will be a team player with the ability to work with a wide range of individuals from diverse backgrounds. They must have the ability to think critically and problem solve in order to identify and develop strategies and processes to improve infection prevention practices. Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and evaluate infection prevention and control initiatives
• Serve as a resource to hospital staff on infection control practices and procedures
• Utilize epidemiological principles and practices to identify and develop strategies and processes for improved infection prevention • Provide education and training to hospital staff on infection control principles and practices • Monitor and report infections and outbreaks • Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper infection control practices • Develop and update infection prevention policies and procedures • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of infection control trends and regulations • Track and analyze infection control data • Participate in infection control audits and quality improvement initiatives
Ability To Work Independently And Collaboratively
Proficiency In Microsoft Office Suite
Bachelor's Degree In Medical Or Healthcare Field
Five Years Of Experience In An Acute Care Setting
Current Certification In Infection Prevention And Control (Cic)
Knowledge Of Principles And Practices Of Infection Prevention
Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Asepsis Techniques
