Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable professional to join our team as a Patient Communications Specialist. In this role, you will play an integral part in providing a patient-centered experience by effectively communicating with patients and their families. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and an unwavering commitment to providing the highest quality of care. To be successful in this role, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field and at least two years of experience in a customer service or medical setting. You should also have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and email systems. Responsibilities:

  1. Establish and maintain effective communication with patients and their families.
  2. Provide a patient-centered experience by responding to patient inquiries, addressing their concerns, and providing education on relevant topics.
  3. Utilize excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with patients and their families.
  4. Utilize strong work ethic to ensure patient needs are met in a timely manner.
  5. Maintain a commitment to providing the highest quality of care.
  6. Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and email systems proficiently.
  7. Develop and implement strategies to improve patient communications.
  8. Maintain accurate patient records.
  9. Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
  10. Adhere to all applicable policies and regulations.
