Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at Moffitt Cancer Center. The ideal candidate has a drive to help others and a commitment to providing excellent patient care. The successful candidate will have a Respiratory Care Practitioner license from the State of Florida, as well as a degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited college or university. The Respiratory Care Practitioner must be highly organized, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to effectively manage multiple tasks. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about helping others, has a positive attitude, and is eager to learn.

Responsibilities of a Respiratory Care Practitioner at Moffitt Cancer Center:

  1. Provide excellent patient care, utilizing the highest standards of professional practice and ethical behavior.
  2. Assess and evaluate patient needs and provide appropriate treatment, including the use of therapeutic and diagnostic equipment.
  3. Monitor and review patient progress, and modify treatments as needed.
  4. Educate patients and families on respiratory care treatments, medications, and lifestyle changes.
  5. Prepare and maintain comprehensive patient records.
  6. Utilize respiratory therapy equipment and supplies in a safe and effective manner.
  7. Maintain and monitor quality assurance standards.
  8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of respiratory care technology and procedures.
  9. Follow safety protocols and procedures.
  10. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient outcomes.

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (Rrt) Credential

  • Bls And Acls Certifications
