Surgical Technologist

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking an experienced and accomplished Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic surgical team. We are looking for a highly organized individual, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to provide support in the operating room. The successful candidate will have a high degree of technical proficiency and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.As a Surgical Technologist, you will be responsible for a variety of duties that can range from preparing operating rooms for surgery to providing assistance to surgeons during a procedure. Your ability to work quickly and accurately is essential in ensuring the success of our surgical team.The ideal candidate should have a minimum of two years of experience in a surgical setting and must possess a current certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA). In addition, the successful candidate must have extensive knowledge of sterile technique, patient positioning, equipment setup and aseptic environment control. Above all, we are seeking an individual who is passionate about providing compassionate and quality care to our patients.

Responsibilities:

-Preparing operating rooms for surgery -Providing assistance to surgeons during a procedure -Maintaining a sterile environment -Ensuring the safety of patients and surgical team members -Providing quality care to patients -Assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of patients -Maintaining accurate records and documentation -Ordering and stocking supplies and instruments -Performing pre- and post-operative duties as needed -Adhering to all safety and infection control policies -Maintaining current certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
