Ultrasound Technologist

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking an experienced and dedicated Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will operate ultrasound technology to create diagnostic images of patients’ organs and systems. Previous experience in an ultrasound lab setting is strongly preferred. You should be able to work independently and also be a part of a team. Responsibilities:

1. Operate ultrasound technology to create diagnostic images of patients’ organs and systems.
2. Follow safety protocols and protocols of the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
3. Maintain accurate records of patient data and generate reports.
4. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
5. Provide patient education on the procedure and explain the results of the scan.
6. Ensure that the ultrasound room is kept clean and organized.
7. Troubleshoot any technical issues with the ultrasound equipment.
8. Report any incidents or adverse events to the appropriate personnel.
9. Maintain a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
10. Follow all established policies and procedures.
