
Derivative Margin and Collateral Specialist
We are looking for an experienced Derivative Margin and Collateral Specialist to join our team and help ensure the smooth operation of our derivatives business at Morgan Stanley. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the collateral and margin requirements for our derivatives portfolio while maintaining compliance with relevant regulatory requirements. To be successful in this role, you should have a strong understanding of derivatives, risk management, and financial products. You should also possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor derivatives portfolio to ensure collateral and margin requirements are met and in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Analyze and evaluate derivatives transactions to identify potential margin and collateral optimization opportunities.
- Create and maintain detailed reports on derivatives portfolio to ensure accuracy of margin and collateral calculations.
- Track, monitor, and report on any changes in derivatives regulations and policies.
- Provide guidance and advice on derivatives margin and collateral requirements to team members.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders such as brokers, counterparties, and other financial institutions.
- Identify and resolve operational issues related to derivatives margin and collateral requirements.
- Develop and implement strategies for managing derivatives risk and optimizing collateral and margin requirements.
