Fund Accounting – Manager

Morgan Stanley is seeking an experienced Fund Accounting Manager to lead the firm’s fund accounting team. This role will be responsible for overseeing fund accounting operations, managing a team of fund accountants, and ensuring that all funds are accurately tracked and reported. Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage the firm’s fund accounting operations and team of fund accountants to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of funds.
2. Implement and maintain fund accounting processes and procedures in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
3. Monitor fund accounting system to ensure accuracy of data, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all fund accounting activities.
4. Manage reconciliation processes, ensuring all fund positions are reconciled with custodian bank in a timely manner.
5. Develop and implement internal controls to ensure accuracy of fund accounting records and adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
6. Monitor and analyze fund performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.
7. Respond to client inquiries and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
8. Work with external auditors to ensure successful completion of annual audit.
9. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
10. Provide leadership and guidance to fund accounting team, motivating and developing staff for optimal performance.
